A bunch of liars
Okay, so I applied at Target to get a little extra money for the holidays. BIG MISTAKE. I applied and put my availability. I have another job that requires me to be on call during certain hours but it’s only one week a month. I asked the team leader if they could work around it and he said yeah, that it was no problem. I had my schedule for November and December and gave them both to him that day. I also gave that to the second team leader who interviewed me for my second interview. AND AFTER MY ORIENTATION. Well wouldn’t you know by the time November shift comes around they fucked it up. My aunt who was in HR fixed it for me but told me next time put a note in the idiots mailbox there. I did. She checked and the note was STILL THERE. HADN’T EVEN BEEN LOOKED AT. They did the exact thing for December but I didn’t care at that point. I just left early when it was time for me to be on call.
Another issue that pissed me off was the hours they worked me. On my application and during my first and second interview I told these idiots that I wanted to work 20 but could work up to 25. I got scheduled to work 45 hours. Now I’m a senior in college taking 18 credit hours, I work at the other job, and I volunteer. Things they all knew when they hired me. What the FUCK gave them the impression that I could work 45 hours on top of that. My mom told me to stick it out since we did need the money but I was soooo tired that I couldn’t even do a simple essay and ended up not turning it in because I was so exhausted. Today is my last day at being on call and I’m off work at 8:30am, something they know. I checked my schedule and I’m supposed to be at Target at 8:30am. HOW? JUST HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT? I had already put my two weeks in at the beginning of the week, but I’m calling them this morning to tell them I’m not coming back. I’m only coming back to pick up my check and then BUH BYE!
The fact that they expect me to drop everything in my life that can make or break my CAREER for a job that’s not even guaranteed after the season is beyond me. It even got to the point to where they asked me as I was checking out a guest if I wanted to stay later (not specifying how much later, btw) 10 minutes before I was about to leave. Before they came over I was having a nice conversation with the customer about school and whatnot and when they asked me she answered for me. Her exact words were, “NO. She has HOMEWORK TO DO. What YOU people need to do is hire more employees, then maybe you wouldn’t be in this dilemma.” FAVORITE CUSTOMER EVER!
