Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

October 4, 2015 - Overworked

You can NEVER be fast enough for these people

I’ve worked for Target in a variety of work centers, and if there is one thing I have learned as of late, is that you can never move fast enough for these pricks. Management stands around laughing it up all day while you are expected to bust your ass every single minute of your shift, God help you if you’re caught talking to a friend for even a minute. I feel like a slave here while the masters sit back and crack their whip at any little mistake you make. When I’m working backroom, I go from one huge task to another thinking I accomplished something, only to be told four or five huge carts need to be backstocked before I leave in 20 minutes. Are you fucking kidding me? Of course the work doesn’t get done and I get to have a chat with my lazy ass boss who didn’t lift a fucking finger to help me all day. When I’m hardlines, I’m constantly assigned a crazy amount of carts to push by myself in addition to back up cashiering, calls, helping gusets, ect. If even one cart is left unpushed I get a boss groaning like I fucking inconvenienced him, despite working to the point of exhaustion all day to try to keep them happy. Now, I have no problem moving fast. I work out and am in good shape, but the amount of work expected of you is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. These people give you shit hours and are too cheap to hire sufficient staff. They blame you for things not getting done instead of themselves. Never have I worked so hard and so quickly only to be told I’m a lazy ass by management at the end of the day. I’ve received multiple coachings that were completely out of my control. I tried to explain my ridiculous work loads to these assholes, but it was like talking to a brick wall. Fuck off. Makes you wonder why you put so much effort into a job that gives you shit hours and pays you less than $10 an hour.

They sure do expect too much. They just stand around and have 1 hour lunch breaks when it's just suppose to be half hour of course. They never help anywhere and just think there coaches and should get paid just to shout all day. I will always say forever and ever that those who actually do something as to move something are the ones actually doing something. To yell, to praise wrong doings, to say that was to slow is not doing anything, the ones who speak should be paid less and the ones who do more get paid more. Physical work should always get paid more, thinking and yelling should get paid much less because they are doing less!!!!!!Oh fucking god jobs!

And all they do is push a shoping cart around all day. Or hang out up in the office on the computer 'working' they arent working. I was there 11 years i seen it all and finally i am out and got myself a good paying corporate job working 40 hours a week NO weekends. Yes its at the bottom making about 10 an hr but the ppl there are amazing and wonderful nice ppl.

Target is not a place to work if you want a long term job

I don't understand how this company stays in business. This is the absolutely the worst place i have ever worked.each STL likes to run their store like it's their own private kingdom. These freaks have drunk the koolaid they believe the hype... They think they are different from Walmart.nice... Comparing yourself to the bottom of the barrel. News flash target is not different from Walmart. They pay low wages, don't allow unions and generally SUCK!!

The point is they couldn't stay in business up north here in Canada. Lost to their mortal enemy Walmart with the canadian chains not giving an inch either. Of course it's wasn't hard to beat them considering target sold bread that was owned by a canadian competitor. The boss of London drugs didn't even blink an eye when target came up here. Got the impression they were quite confident in their customer base and weren't scared at all of tarshit.
