Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

November 7, 2015 - Bambii

I do not understand what is going on…

Is it ok to tell an employee to quit? Please message me with answers or questions…I’m lose for words.I’m tired of driving home in tears…Please help me.I’ve been here for 5 years and 2 of the 5 years were a nightmare and it’s getting worst.i feel like i cant go to anyone for help.no one takes me serious.they love to say that i never bring up problems but that is not true at all.i have breakdowns at work because of the pressure that is put on me.i have to do 2 other peoples jobs because they just walk around or cant find them.i have my own responsibilities but i do not mind helping the team out.but i hardly ever get help in return.if i ask for help i get funny looks or smart remarks from lods.the lods talk to me like their child which isn’t appropriate.one lod like to embarrass me over the walkie or in front of guest.this is just the frosting on the cake…

    Simple

Do not show up to work anymore. Just don't give a fuck.

If its breaking you that much and they haven't given you courtesy, then don't bother giving them courtesy either.

I don't know what your position is, but you can probably find another job at another retailer fairly easily, especially if you are a team lead or something. The only challenge with that is the 4th quarter of the year is tough to find non-seasonal employment. Beware, retail is varying degrees of shitty, always, as I'm sure you know. If you choose to stay, then maybe change your approach at work. For instance, if you get coached and you feel the tone that the LOD or whoever is using is not appropriate, say something like "I can see that you have some valid concerns, but I really do not appreciate you speaking to me with that tone." Whatever you do, do not just walk out and quit. It's ok to do the bare minimum until you find something else, but you'll be better off in the long run if you plan a job search carefully. Hope this helps.

I've told other employees to quit cause of how bad they treat you there. Like you're more than an employee to them, your a slave because you have to do your hardest hardest hardest every single day for them while they the leaders do absolutely nothing to help! Leave that store, leave target. No one deserves to be laughed on about doing a job. In fact, that;s harassment, you could sue target for misconduct of respect in the work force.
