Escape from hell
Well sad to say after years at target I have left the professional way. The coworkers were the best and will miss them and only some of the ETL’s were nice (the ones who helped me). AND NOW ON TO THE RANT! Position: Cashier – Basically gotta stand in one area for like 8 hrs and ask every single guest for that damn REDCARD. Yeah and the GSTL or LOD would hover around and make sure that you are asking every guest every time. If u don’t guess what that is an automatic coaching or possible termination. The huddles are freaking useless because they go over the same things all the time. The goals are unrealistic “guys we gotta make sure the store is green” and get at least 20-25 a day. Guests were ok or just plain rude AF. The ones with no manners who complained about the prices or the coupons. Or my favorite when their credit card gets declined then they have to announce “this is impossible, I KNOW there is ALOT of money on this card”. Position: Cart Attendant – Probably the worst job at the store. Not enough CA because they probably are lazy AF or they just quit. Workload was ridiculous keep up with carts, take out garbage, carryouts, and basically w/e the GSTL told you to do like some slave -_-. Management: Well it is true they are all fresh out of college and imo they are attractive. ETL’s do they even do work? All I hear them over the walkie “Guys we got some reshop in the back can u guys help knock this out”. Jeez ok let all the SF team members do everything while you walk around the store with a cart and act like you are doing something. All I see them do is take lunches together like they would call each other on walkies and stuff. High school type yeah sure they would talk behind the team members backs about performance or even personal information and who were they gonna try and get rid of. Basically there is STL/ETL’s then everyone else. Thanks for reading.

I know. GSTLs, ETL, LOD, FTL, they all sit at the same time for lunch and talk shit. They get paid just to watch and look all day going we need help here guys, oh more over that side, oh we need help there, oh no your not doing that right. You get paid to talk? How about doing something? I'll tell you something about this entire nation that's not fair. The ones who talk and push others like slavery are the ones who get paid the most while we the ones who sweat and work hard and do things for real get paid way less. It should be the other way arround in all forms of work. The ones who do things get paid more, we are the ones who get things done. The ones who talk are not doing anything!!!!!
Is it funny that the managers are very disorganized. But on their lunch breaks, will organizes everybody together in food avenue to talk shit! FASCINATING isn't it. hahahaha. I remember couple of managers are telling me what to do a lot. But when i ask them " good want to help me out" they will find an excuse not too and walking away faster then a runner sprinting 100 meter DASH!!.
