Hello so this semester of college is getting really tough and I sometimes cannot work days that I’m suppose to work because I have Big Exam the following day and I sometimes do need a full day off in the weekend so I can study my butt off. Therefore I usually give my hours away to people who want them and my STL got upset because I do it too often and she will count them as Call Outs! I don’t understand the logic in that because Im giving hours away therefor someone will come in regardless…so I don’t see the problem what do you guys think I should do?, because i still have a good half of the semester left and my school is the main priority.

(2) So I’ve been working at Target for almost 2 years now and it has been the most miserable place to work at. I work in electronics but hardly get to stay in my department. Rather than going through the list of issues and problems I’ve dealt with, I will spare you the details because it would be quite lengthy. However, I wanted to post here and see if anyone has any ideas about some survey I had to take. So I’ll start here..
Likes(13)Dislikes(2) Put in my two weeks and last day on Oct. 11th! I am so excited! I have been a cashier for over a year. What finally pushed me over was the TLs’ and LODs’ lack of forethought when handling situations.
Yes, I didn’t take a lunch when I had a 5 hour and 15 min shift. Partially my fault for not being assertive enough to take it anyway. However, the blame should also be on Tarshit for not properly training the guest service chick newly turned GSTL. My hours for that day were listed as 4.75, so the GSTL assumed that it wasn’t considered a 5 hour shift and only scheduled a break, no lunch. I asked if she was sure, and she insisted. What was I supposed to do? I’m timid and going through a lot of shit (being an abuse survivor doesn’t help things either). So of course the next day the LOD and minion TL cornered me in my register to make me sign a paper and treating me like I was stupid.

Now we are supposed to have this “even” coverage on the floor except in any single day there’s no more than 6 of us (sometimes 4) and usually hardlines has double what we have….and for some reason (unrelated) guest service often specifically asks for us for back up??
Likes(5)Dislikes(5) After a month of hell I decided to quit Target. Store 2021 Arvada South Super Target is by far one of the worst experiences as a employee I have ever had. I don’t know how I managed to stick it out for so long. Retail is no picnic but this company takes it to a whole new level with their fast fun friendly FAKE façade. These people think it’s still high school the way they act. The huddles are a joke and I believe it’s only to show off to the customers.

Most people in my store had been there a few years before me and overall loved their job as did I. After the truck was pushed, I noticed backroom was a mess and asked to stay and help out. Back then the backroom was a mess, because no one wanted to do the job.

Anyway, she said she was glad that we only sell them for $5 and that t Tarshit sells the exact same product for $20. I told her that the next time she goes to Tarshit to price match everything and that they won’t deny that shit. She said she didn’t know of a store that would do that and that she’d do that next time she went to Tarshit. This is what you get fucken Tarshit!!! Fuck you and the LODs and everyone that thinks they’re above it all bitches!!!!

She always puts me in the Mens section which is supposed to be the easiest, but I struggle in there. The department I work best in is Womens. All the managers know it. I just don’t understand why she keeps putting me in there when she knows other people would be better suited to it. It’s so stressful!

I Remember her the other day coming into the break room “Lod I just got a red card I’m taking a break” lmao most lazy employee I’ve ever seen. Sad thing is she will probably end up a team lead.
