Availability Auto Denied
So, I never really request time off. Im there when I need to be, doing my job as a cashier. Im 18 its my senior year and prom is soon. My mom is one of those people who like to be there every step of the way between choosing my dress, shoes, hair, makeup, etc. NOW for those of you wondering whats wrong with this let me tell you. I put in a request to change my ability for Saturdays off (that’s literally the only day I can go prom shopping because my mother doesnt have to work) I requested it and it was denied! Ive explained to HR why cannot work at that time and they STILL deny it. Its not like I want to be off on saturdays forever just until I get prom over with. Honestly I’m just about to put in my 2 weeks because I know it doesnt seem like a giant deal but it is to me and Tarshit is starting to really piss me the fuck off

Don't let tarshit ruin your prom. Something or somebody else will try and do that anyway.
just quit and let them deal with it themselves
If you've been there for less than 90 days then that's why, you unfortunately can't change your availability until afterwards. I sadly learned it the hard way.
Worked here for 4 months now
Target sucks. Every leader who works there use to be a good person but for some unknown reason target turns leaders into communists who have to have everything there way. While I worked at McDonalds everything was easy with days and days off, all understandable and reasonable. Worked at Taco Bell, all reasonable accommodations. I know that the people who are leaders are or were good people but for some reason the red and target makes them barbaric beyond mind control because of some stupid corporate rules to follow.
I have come to a point where I don't care. I ask off days A MONTH in advance and they will still continue to schedule me. At first, I tried desperately to find someone to cover it. Now, I just call in and explain I asked off this day. Usually they are rude about it. I tried asking Saturdays off too and they denied me (that's the busiest day of the week, once again, not my problem) and I have worked here for almost 6 months.
