Target Sucks - We Hate Target and We Know We're Not Alone.

Are you serious target???

Got hired as a seasonal worker. Worked a mix of things. Eventually wound up in electronics because I’m knowledgeable in the area. I did pretty well and they told me I did. They asked me to stay after most of the seasonal workers got cut. I agreed and they kept me in electronics. I had a shift the next day where I just did pulls. I did a ridiculous amount of them and worked my ass off. However, the next day, the LOD called me in and said that my warranties in electronics were in the red. LIKE THAT WAS MY FUCKING PROBLEM. LIKE I RAN ELECTRONICS OR SOME SHIT. Anyways, she told me that if I didnt step it up tomorrow, they are going to remove me from electronics because I dont want to sell their shitty warranty to people. EVERY FUCKING NIGHT FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS, they have put me in electronics BY MY FUCKING SELF with no mid! I called for backup numerous times and not a single fucking person answered it while they all ran to the front lanes for backup. I worked hard and made sure everything got done. BUT FUCK ME IF I DIDNT SELL THEIR SHIT WARRANTIES. Literally two days after they wanted to keep me they already want to get rid of me.

It's the same thing with the cashiers upfront with regards to the red cards. If you don't "sell" enough of their shitty red cards to people (19-22% interest rate is NOT worth saving 5%), you get written up for it at my store despite the fact it's NOWHERE in the employee handbook to get X number of red cards. I barely ask anyone if they want the red card anymore because I know how much the credit card sucks and how frequently it just won't let ppl check out with it for whatever reason. The only one I'd honestly recommend is the debit card (the lesser of 2 evils). If someone wants a god damn red card, they'll ask for it. If someone is interested in an electronics warranty, they'll ask about Target's warranty policy. Warranties are useless anyways, as products tend to go bad AFTER the warranty expires. Fuck big box retailers, especially Target. Let's hope that the trend going on in Canada will carry on over to the USA soon enough. UGH!

according to rfd, the card doesn't suck. besides which if you are using the canadian version of the red card, paying with the red card comes with an extra year of warranty tacked onto the normal 1 year manufacturer warranty though rbc. The TD version in the states doesn't offer this.

That's ridiculous, why aren't they offering people holding the red card in the USA this? Even then, the high interest rate isn't worth the extra year on a product I probably wouldn't buy there anyways. But then again with the way things are going right now, for all we know that extra red card incentive in Canada will have been all for nothing LOL!

blame td. the cards td offers sucks balls. none of their rewards cards that come with rewards offer extended warranty. that are free anyways. only mbna canada which was sold to td offers it.

the point is, to pay the damned card off the instant you use it. If it's like zellers, and the bay which they bought the locations from, you can pay your bill instantly off at the till.
