$9.00 an hour?
So, it’s April, I just got a pay check on Friday, and no raise in pay? Has anyone else had their wages increased to $9.00 per hour? Are we waiting for the next pay check, again? Yesterday was my one year, no reviews, no feedback, no nothing!! I am operator/ fitting room person and never get much of any direction!

Reviews aren't given on your anniversary date, only the annual review period, which is next month. At least that has been my experience after 7+ years.
No, they're talking about how Walmart said they're raising their minimum to $9 and eventually to $10, so tarshit said that they too would be raising the minimum to $9. Not having anything to do with reviews, just the minimum pay rate.
Management told our team that if the base rate raises, the starting wage, anyone working there prior to that date doesn't get any kind of market adjustment. So if you started at $8 and they change this to $9 tomorrow, you will stay at $8 till you get a review that give you $0.25 increase per hour. Only the people that start will get that pay change. You are better off quitting and getting rehired. That is what I was told.
In other words all that blabbing about raising the base min pay rates is a bunch of baloney. Fancy talking and spin to look good?
Long time lurker, first time poster. As an hr team member, you won't see the $9 until they do your reviews in May. Make sure you go through the entire thing because they're going to add the pay raise and your merit together and try to pass it off as a cool bonus. Once I used math, I found out I got a fucking 10 cent raise as a human resource team member. My coworker who's been here for 8 years lost a dollar but gained 16 cents.
Here in cali, minimum wage is $9 and whelp I just got my raise to 11 fucking cents that starts off on the 15
